Tony graduated the University of Akron Police Academy in 1996 and was hired as a patrol officer that same year. He has over 20 years of law enforcement experience as a patrol officer, police sergeant and detective. During Tony’s time as a detective, he was instrumental in forming a two county, multi jurisdictional investigative cooperative to solve scrap theft. At the inception of this co-op, Ohio was second (behind California) in scrap theft in the United States. He also helped with passing legislation regulating pawn dealers, to help combat the sale of stolen goods.
Tony was able to inspire and facilitate unprecedented cooperation between his investigative unit and other departments, resulting in more successful investigations and prosecution. Tony has worked investigations with numerous state and federal agencies, including human trafficking, drug trafficking, large scale firearm thefts, arson, fugitive apprehensions, and prescription drug investigations.
Tony retired from Law Enforcement in April of 2016 and joined a large bank as a Senior Investigator. He was tasked with investigating various types of complex suspicious activity, to determine fraud exposure. These investigations included complex fraud cases and multi channel and third party investigations related to accounts, identity theft, elder financial exploitation and loan fraud.
Tony has advanced training in interview/interrogations from John E. Reid & Associates as well as extensive education in death and homicide Investigations. Tony has received awards for “excellence and diligence for apprehending dangerous criminals” and “distinguished service and devotion toward investigations".
During Tony's time as a Private Investigator, he has worked over 100 domestic, infidelity and child custody cases. Notable successful criminal cases worked during this time were cold case homicides, cold case rape involving person(s) under 18 years of age, burglary, wrongful imprisonment and Political Corruption.
